Learning & Growing with God
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We received a letter from Mr Martin Post today praising the school for its 2016 Key Stage 2 (Year 6) SATs results. This letter has been sent out to all parents via Parentmail.
Mr Post is the Regional Schools Commissioner and the Education Secretary's leading representative for North West London and South Central, so this is praise from the highest level of the department.
We are extremely pleased and proud to receive this level of congratulations, knowing that the school is recognised for academic achievement. We also know that we are not just about test results but much, much more - things that are more difficult to measure but easier to feel within the school itself.
Those of you who have been past the school today may have seen our two new pupils sitting on the wall by the school sign. These two are Jack and Jill - our two scarecrow children who form part of the Chorleywood trail. Our school made the most of an extra special sporting opportunity on Friday 18th March, by participating in Sport Relief Day 2016.
All of the children came to school dressed in their smart PE kit and enjoyed a mixture of activities in Family Groups - where one child from each class in reception to Year 6 work together. Games, run by Year 6 children and assisted by staff, were held on the playground and common all afternoon.
To end the day, a charity netball challenge was held between parents and staff, watched by the whole school. Follow the link below to read about the day in our local partner publication.
In recent weeks, several classes - including Y3, Y4 and Y6 - have been enjoying interactive sessions with Watford Schools' Trust. These workshops have been exploring the meaning of Easter in fun, creative and alternative ways. Some of the work produced can be found via this link:
One of the highlights of the school calendar - our special Mother's Day event where we invite all the dads and grandads into school to spend quality time with their children and create something special for all those wonderful women we get to call 'Mum'.

The children have been really excelling with their computer skills since Mrs Turner (KS2 teacher/Y5 class teacher) started leading an online learning initiative.
The children have really taken to this and within the closely monitored and safe environment of computing lessons, have already shown great aptitude, understanding and awareness of how to publish work online.
Follow this link to find the interactive learning now happening every day at our school.
